Onyx boox note air onenote12/6/2023 You can also customize the stylus’ line width, the pressure and sensitivity and even write in different colors despite them not showing up on this mono device. There are endless customization options for how books and documents are displayed, from tweaking the contrast and the zoom to bleaching watermarks. You can even set the refresh rate for when you’re just scrolling through the menus. ‘Speed’ and ‘A2’ are the refresh rates that compromise sensibly between refreshed pages and concise-looking text and images. Out of the box it’s a relaxing yellow-ish light, though you can easily tweak its color and intensity.Īs on all Onyx Boox products there’s a choice of different refresh rates to keep the E Ink display as clean, or as fast, as possible. Either way it’s way more paper-like than the glass on traditional LCD tablets…Īround the edge of that screen – which isn’t quite as sharp in dots-per-inch as the Note Air 2, though not noticeably so – are the LEDs that make-up this device’s Moon Light 2 backlight for reading and working in low-light and at night. It’s thus noticeably less paper-like and more plasticky to write on compared to the smaller Note Air 2, but it’s perhaps not a huge loss to anyone investing in the Max Lumi 2 primarily for its massive screen. It’s got an anti-reflective coating and Asahi protective acrylic, but no extra stylus layer to create a bit of friction. DisplayĪlthough all E Ink displays are designed to replicate paper, the Max Lumi 2 doesn’t go as far as other products in the Onyx Boox canon. Overall it’s a very plain, non-controversial and business-like design. However, the case provided does include a small loop to secure it, though we did notice that the case covers the on/off switch and makes it difficult to press reliably. Included in the box is an excellent Wacom stylus, though sadly there’s no magnetic zone on the Max Lumi 2 to attach it to. The Max Lumi 2 also has two tiny speakers, one on each side of its lower back. Unlike the previous version, the Max Lumi 2 doesn’t have a headphones slot, though you can use its Bluetooth 5.0 chops to link a pair of earphones or a Bluetooth speaker. Sorry for the amount of questions - once I can get these sorted out, this will be an awesome tool.Unlike the Note Air 2, the Max Lumi 2 has no spine on one side, instead including an 11mm wide bezel around three sides, with 24mm at the bottom where you’ll also find a physical home button below the screen and a small Boox logo. How can I sort out this Outlook issue so that I can actually get in and use it.If you can't make OneNote super responsive natively (like the inbuilt Notepad), is there any way that you can use the native Notepad function to take your notes and then somehow automatically push them through to a OneNote page?.Is there any sort of settings or adjustments that can be made to make OneNote work as exceptionally as the Notepad function (which is fantastic - I love it).I've seen some posts that talk about the laggy pen when you use OneNote on the Note Air 2 Plus and the talk seems to be about buffering when using that app. I've taken a photo of the screen that I get when trying to finish the instal for Microsoft Outlook in case anyone has had the same issue and worked out how to fix it. I want to get Outlook workinng becasue it allows me to work through OneNote and MSFT To Do seamlessly and that suits my preferred workflow It also only gives me an option to create a new account whereas I need to log into a work/school account. I also wanted to add Microsoft Outlook as my email client on the device but when I install it, I get a page that has 4 lines across the top and it seems to only work through three of them. I chose the Note Air 2 Plus because you can access some additional apps such as OneNote which is really difficult to do with Supernote. I had a Supernote AX6 before that but I found it a bit small for my main use case which is note taking.
